Mike and I attended one of the many Super Bowl parties in Port Liberte on Sunday. For a non-football fan, I was into the excitement and happy for our Giants, my condolences to the Patriot fans in Port Liberte. Our hosts served a wonderful buffet including sliders and wings and one of Mike’s specialties, empanadas. We are still on carb overload. Weight Watchers here I come. I have started to see a surge of buyers visiting Port Liberte over the last week or two and have even had a bidding war over a property for the first time in quite a while, a positive sign that the market may be starting to turn.I look forward to the time that Port Liberte short sales are a thing of the past and we see prices start to appreciate. This is going to take time but any indication of progress is a good sign. Port Liberte inventory of both sale and rental properties are currently near historically low levels. Tenants are telling me that they love living in Port Liberte and many say they plan to buy a Port Liberte home in the future.
